The VBA Pro Bono Council’s Firms in Service Hampton Roads is partnering with the Virginia Access to Justice Commission to host a meeting on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, dedicated to highlighting pro bono legal service efforts and coordination in the Hampton Roads. The meeting will begin with a luncheon at noon and opening remarks by The Honorable D. Arthur Kelsey.The afternoon will include sessions on the role of law schools both in providing pro bono services and in instilling in students a long-term commitment to pro bono services, as well as the role of the bench and the bar in coordinating, fostering and encouraging pro bono services among members of the bar in Hampton Roads. The Honorable S. Bernard Goodwyn will provide closing remarks to adjourn the meeting.
