Employment Law Alert – Join Us at the 40th Annual ELU as Seminar Leader Burt Whitt Turns Over the Helm to Randy Sparks
Kaufman & Canoles is excited to announce our 40th Annual Employment Law Seminar on Thursday, October 24, a milestone event in our long-standing tradition of providing businesses with essential updates on employment law trends and best practices. This seminar promises to be especially significant as it marks Burt Whitt’s final seminar as host before he passes the reins to Randy Sparks in 2025. When Burt put together the first seminar decades ago, it was the first seminar of its type in Hampton Roads. Since then, the seminar has offered invaluable insights and guidance to a countless number of HR professionals and has grown to be the best-attended program of its type in the state. Numerous heads of relevant government agencies have participated in the program over the years and this year is no exception.
Randy is the perfect successor to Burt’s leadership. He has over 20 years of expertise in employment law with a strong track record of navigating businesses through complicated legal landscapes. He has a reputation for entertaining audiences with his presentations and for simplifying complex legal ideas into workable solutions. Most importantly, Randy knows what topics are most valuable to attendees and he will continue to uphold the seminar’s high standard of excellence in the years ahead.
Seminar attendees can expect an educational program with dynamic outside speakers that covers current practices and employment law updates, while also offering practical suggestions to improve workplace legal compliance. Attendees can also earn up to 6 credit hours towards PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and 6 PDCs toward SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
