    Clark J. Belote, Lauren S. Kadish, Randy C. Sparks Jr., and Benjamin A. Wills Elected Members at Kaufman & Canoles

    Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Clark J. Belote, Lauren S. Kadish, Randy C. Sparks Jr., and Benjamin A. Wills have been elected Members at the firm.

    Mr. Belote is a Member in the firm’s Norfolk office and a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Creditors’ Rights & Business Restructuring, Franchising, and Litigation practice groups. His litigation practice focuses on commercial litigation, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation, and real estate litigation. His experience includes representing creditors and corporate clients in cases involving complex commercial litigation, contract issues, business torts, and bankruptcy issues, as well as lenders and other stakeholders in specific performance suits, partition suits, quiet title matters, and other real estate litigation. He earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law.

    Ms. Kadish is a Member in the firm’s Norfolk office and a member of the Health Care, Litigation, and the Senior Housing & Care Team practice groups. She represents clients, including health systems, hospitals, practices, long-term care facilities, and individual health care providers, in all aspects of health care litigation matters, including defense of medical malpractice and wrongful death actions as well as disciplinary actions by state licensing boards. She earned her B.A. and B.M. from The Catholic University of America and her J.D. from the Pepperdine University School of Law.

    Mr. Sparks is a Member in the firm’s Richmond office and a member of the Labor and Employment Law practice group. He concentrates his practice in employment litigation, representing employers in employment discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of employment contract, non-compete, and wage and hour claims before various state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Mr. Sparks also advises and trains clients on lawful employment practices and other workplace issues. He earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the William & Mary Law School.

    Mr. Wills is a Member in the firm’s Richmond office and a member of the Corporate & Public Finance and the Consumer Finance practice groups. His practice focuses on public finance, transportation, and local government matters, including traditional governmental finance, securities, state and local government law, and public/private partnerships. In addition, he has experience in litigation and regulatory compliance issues related to real estate finance; mortgage banking; federal consumer protection statutes; state lending, savings, and consumer protection laws; as well as various other consumer finance issues. He earned his B.A. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law.
