    Kaufman & Canoles Names Dustin H. DeVore Managing Director of the Firm’s Williamsburg Office

    Kaufman & Canoles is pleased to announce that Dustin H. DeVore has been named the Managing Director of the firm’s Williamsburg office, effective May 21, 2024.

    Since joining Kaufman & Canoles in 2002, Mr. DeVore has demonstrated remarkable leadership qualities and unwavering dedication to serving the firm’s clients and the greater Williamsburg community. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance in addition to being a member or former Board member of Child Development Resources, the Williamsburg/James City Education Foundation, the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate, the James City County Technology Incubator, and the Williamsburg Bar Association.

    Mr. DeVore takes the reins from Gregory R. Davis, his esteemed colleague and mentor, with whom he has forged a close relationship over the last twenty-two years, diligently working side by side to expand and enhance the Williamsburg office’s capabilities. After leaving his management role, Mr. Davis will continue his growing law practice, which is focused on trust and estate matters, representing regional businesses and handling real estate matters.

    Mr. DeVore is the Chair of the firm’s Lender Representation practice group and the firm’s Credit Union team, where he plays a pivotal role in navigating regulatory complexities and addressing lending issues for numerous banks and credit unions. Additionally, his diverse expertise in commercial and real estate law has been instrumental in representing businesses, real estate developers, and individuals alike. He is an alumnus of the Virginia Military Institute, where he earned his B.A., with distinction, and the College of William & Mary School of Law, where he obtained his J.D. and was a member of the Law Review. Furthermore, he was a Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve from 1994 – 2000.
